How to Effectively Clean Your Electric Stove
With the birth of the electric stove around a hundred years ago, along with its stylish looks, it has provided its owners with more chances of using their creativity in cooking. However, one thing that did not change is that this appliance still needs to be cleaned, which can sometimes become a daunting task for the unprepared. With that in mind, if you have recently bought your electric range, then read on for some tips on how to clean it effectively.
Before you begin, make sure that you have all cleaning materials such as washcloths, sponges, and scrub brushes ready. Along with those, prepare a non-toxic, non-flammable liquid cleaner or spray. Also, make sure that you wear something that you can afford to be stained and if you have gloves as well as masks, then you might want to have them on. Next, after making sure that the stove is turned off and unplugged, remove the parts of the burners that are safe to take out. However, be sure that you take note of how you dismantled them so that you will be able to easily put them back on later. After which, soak them in warm and soapy water.
Furthermore, dampen the washcloth or the sponge that you prepared earlier and use it to wipe off the crumbs and dirt from the range. Make sure that you do not miss a spot, especially the insides of the oven. If there are spots that are hard to take off, then spray them with the liquid cleaner and then cover them with the dampened cloth for a few minutes before trying to scrub them off again.
