How to Host a Cooking Party At Home
If you have gotten bored with the usual social gatherings, try hosting a cooking party! This is a chance for you and your guests to flex your culinary muscles and learn cooking tips from each other. Start by choosing a food theme. You might decide on appetisers or maybe you can cook an Italian full-course meal if you like. After deciding on a theme, tell your friends about your idea and start assigning recipes to everyone. Guests can bring their own ingredients or if you are willing to take on the task, you can prepare all the ingredients yourself.
A day before the party, make sure that your kitchen is clean and clutter-free. Prepare all the needed utensils in an organised manner. By this time, you should have already shopped for all the ingredients. If you can squeeze it into your schedule, start chopping and measuring the ingredients too so you and your guests will have more time to have fun and mingle. On the day itself, make sure that your house is clean and prepare some finger foods and drinks that guests can enjoy while cooking. It may be a cooking party, but it will not be fun if you and your guests feel famished while preparing your food.
Before officially starting, hand out aprons to guests and start taking fun pictures. This will set the mood for your cooking party. Assign tasks so that everyone will have something to do. You should also establish different work stations to avoid chaotic traffic in the kitchen. Once everything is in place, play some music and let the cooking festivities begin!
